SUBSCRIPTION TERMS & CONDITIONS
Information about us
Our subscriptions are sold either by Creature Media Ltd or Creature Media Australia Pty Limited each trading as Creature & Co and for the purposes of these Terms, “we’, ‘our’ and ‘us’. Creature & Co. is the licence holder for National Geographic Kids in the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.

Creature Media Limited is registered in England and Wales under company number 07693866 and has its registered office at 76 Marylebone High Street, London, W1U 5JU, UK.
Creature Media Australia Pty Limited is registered in Australia and has its registered office at Level 6, 77 Castlereagh Street, Sydney, NSW 2000, Australia.

Application
These are the only Terms on which Creature & Co sells subscriptions to our printed and/or digital publications (‘subscriptions’) whether your subscription is bought from us or our authorised resellers through our site, over the telephone or by mail. By placing an order for any subscription, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
We may change these Terms from time to time by changing them on our site, and the change shall take effect on renewal of your subscription or purchase of a new subscription. By continuing to purchase a subscription you accept any changes to these Terms. It is your responsibility to check these Terms each time you purchase a subscription.
Please note that if you buy a subscription from a third party seller, then the third party seller’s terms apply to your subscription and not these Creature & Co Terms.
Your subscription
Your subscription begins when we accept your order by making available to you the subscription content, including free digital add on content.

When you purchase a subscription, you provide us with certain personal information to enable us to process your order. Our Privacy Policy sets out how we use your personal information. Any personal information must be true, accurate, current and complete in all respects. You must not impersonate any other person or entity or to use a false name or a name that you are not authorised to use when purchasing subscriptions. You agree to notify us immediately of any changes to any personal information supplied to us as this may affect your subscription.
You must be at least 18 years old to place an order for a subscription; and if you are under 18, you must have the permission of your parent or guardian to place an order for a subscription.
Renewals and cancellation
Our subscription lengths vary, but will be made clear to you when you place your order.
If you have chosen an ‘Auto-Renew’ subscription offer at checkout, your subscription will automatically renew at the end of the term. We will email you a reminder of the renewal thirty days before it happens with details of any change in the price. If any incentive or add-on product is received before cancellation is actioned in accordance with our Cancellation Policy, you will be offered a partial refund minus the product value unless the product is returned to us at your cost in the same condition as it was received.
Pricing
Prices are liable to change at any time and the change shall take effect on the renewal of your subscription or purchase of a new subscription.

The website, digital platforms and the publications contain several subscriptions advertisements, and it is always possible that some of the subscriptions listed may be incorrectly priced. We will verify prices as part of our sale procedures so that the correct price will be stated when you pay for the subscriptions. If we discover a manifest error with our prices, then we may cancel your order and refund you.
Payment
You can pay using a credit/debit card through our secure third-party payment gateway. Payment via cheque for (UK only) is available upon request by contacting via our UK Contact Form or visit the following UK FAQ for a step-by-step guide for how to process. Please also contact the relevant team if you require an invoice.
All credit/debit card purchases are subject to validation checks (which you consent to) and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to or does not for any reason authorise payment to us for a particular purchase, we will not accept your order. Please note that it is possible that your card issuer may charge you an online handling fee or processing fee. We are not responsible for this.
Discounts
We may offer discounts via third-party platforms, in which case you will be asked to provide a discount code or specific link at the time of order. If you are unable to provide us with the discount code or the link , or if the code or link you provide to us has already been activated or has expired, we are not obliged to honour the discounted rate. If you have already purchased a subscription from us, we cannot amend your payment at a later date to reflect a new discount code. We reserve the right to cancel a discount at any time. Discounts cannot be exchanged for cash, gift vouchers or other items. We may restrict you from using discount codes on certain subscriptions. Additional restrictions may apply.
Digital Subscription
When you access digital content on our website (our ‘site’) you agree to comply with our Website Terms of Use. You shall keep confidential your log-in credentials and not let anyone else to access our site through your log-in credentials.
Please notify us immediately if you suspect there has been unauthorised access to our site through your log-in credentials. We may freely use any anonymous data that we learn, acquire or obtain in connection with your use of the site in order to improve, review and analyse our services, online platform and business generally.
We shall use reasonable endeavours to make the site available at all times, but you acknowledge that there may be occasions when access to the site may be interrupted, including for scheduled maintenance or upgrades, for emergency repairs, or due to failure of telecommunications links and/or equipment. We reserve the right to remove any content or features from the site for any reason, without prior notice, and shall have no liability or responsibility to you in any manner whatsoever in such circumstances.
Delivery of Magazine
Due to our publication cycle as a monthly magazine, it can take up to eight (8) weeks for the first magazine to arrive, unless we agree otherwise with you at the time of order. The next and subsequent issues being delivered at the normal frequency for the publication, around every twenty-eight (28) days, see the relevant FAQ link on this point for further details: UK/Ireland or Australia/New Zealand.
Please ensure you purchase your subscription within the correct date range advised in the FAQs inked here: UK/Ireland or Australia/New Zealand to start the subscription with your preferred issue as we are unable to adjust this once the order has been placed.
Delivery of the subscriptions shall be made to the delivery address specified at the time of order or as otherwise updated. To update your delivery address, see the relevant FAQ linked here: UK/Ireland or Australia/New Zealand.
If a magazine does not arrive to the noted address on the account within the expected timeframe and we are notified within 2 months after the expected delivery date, we can offer a replacement for the missed issue if available – if not we will look to compensate by other means.
Whilst we do all we can to get the issues to you on or around the on-sale dates advised, unfortunately delivery delays can sometimes be caused in transit – due to this we always ask if ten (10) working days from the expected delivery date, can be allowed before you contact the relevant customer service team via: UK/Ireland Contact Form or Australia/New Zealand Contact Form.
If a magazine or product is returned to us by courier or Royal Mail we will contact you via email to request confirmation of address. If the address was correct, we will redispatch the returned issue/s or product free of charge. If the product or magazine was returned because the address was wrong or out of date, then if you ask us to redelivery the product or magazine, you are liable for the costs of postage.
Product specific terms
- Junior Explorers’ Club Membership (UK/ROI Only): Gift Box – within seven (7) working days of order being placed; subject to availability. If any item is unavailable we will include a substitute of similar value; Online Talks – dates will vary, email invitations with discount code to claim free attendance will be received via the billing email address used to purchase the subscription.
- Free Products (UK/ROI Only): Any free products linked with your subscription will be dispatched under separate cover from the subscription and within seven (7) working days of order.
- Subscription Add-on Products (UK Only): Any add-on products purchased will be dispatched under separate cover from the subscription and within seven (7) working days of order and will be sent to the recipient of the subscription unless otherwise stated at time of checkout.
- Free Promotional Products with Subscription Purchase (UK ONLY): Any free incentive product/s offered when you purchase a subscription are subject to availability. Where we offer you a product with the purchase of a subscription, every effort will be made to supply the product illustrated but we reserve the right to provide an alternative product if we cannot supply the original for any reason.
- Free gifts
Free gifts are subject to availability and will be sent to the recipient of the subscription. Where a recipient email address is not provided, it will be sent to the bill payer.
Returning magazines/products (UK/ROI Only)
If you wish to return a magazine please return it to us by putting cross through the name and address on the front of the magazine and note RTS and reason for return then place into a local post-box where it will be returned to us at no cost to yourself.
For any add on/incentive products, please package the product securely, making sure you include a note of your name and address and then return it to us, we advise via courier or by recorded/tracked delivery to the above address. Please make sure to take out enough postal/carriage insurance to cover the value of the contents. Please save your proof of posting and tracking information until your refund has been processed. You will be responsible for all returned costs unless we agree otherwise.
Nothing in this section affects your statutory consumer legal rights.
Refunds
We will refund any sums due to you using the payment method you used to purchase the subscription.
You will not receive any refund of a portion of your subscription if our digital products are temporarily unavailable as this is a free add on.
We will not refund the cost of returning any issues/items you choose to return to us for a refund.
Damaged magazine or product
If any magazine or incentive or add on product is damaged or faulty, please contact us as soon as possible with photographic evidence of the damage. If we agree that the magazine or product is damaged and such damage took place before you received it, we will send to you a replacement is available. If a replacement is not available, we will refund you the price of the magazine or product.
Our Right to Withdraw Subscriptions
We reserve the right to withdraw any subscriptions at any time. We may, for example, cease to publish a magazine at any time. If we do so, you may either transfer your subscription to a different product (subject to any additional fees due) or we shall promptly refund you any sums paid in advance for the remainder of the subscription term.
Liability
Nothing in these Terms will limit or exclude our liability to you for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; if we misrepresent things to you fraudulently and/or for anything else that we have to be liable for under English law.
Subject to this, in no event shall we be liable to you for any business losses and any liability we do have for losses you suffer shall not exceed the purchase price of the relevant subscription and is strictly limited to losses that were reasonably foreseeable. Losses are foreseeable where they could be contemplated by you and us at the time your order is accepted by us.
We shall not be obliged to perform our obligations under these Terms to the extent that we are prevented, hindered or delayed by reason of ‘Force Majeure’ which shall mean any cause or event beyond our reasonable control and including: war, civil war, armed conflict, terrorist attack, riot, civil commotion, malicious damage; compliance with any law or governmental order, strikes, or other industrial disputes, accidents, explosions, breakdowns of plant or machinery, failure of transport links, failure of telecoms links, unavailability of the internet or any utility, fire, flood, storm or adverse weather conditions, epidemic or pandemic, acts of God or failure to perform by our suppliers or sub-contractors.
General
If any part of provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, this shall not affect the validity of any other part or provision. You may not assign, sub-license or otherwise transfer any of your rights under these Terms. We may assign these Terms or any rights hereunder without your consent or notice.
These Terms are governed by English law. You and we both agree to that the courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction. We are aware that as a consumer you may also have the right to bring action against us in your local court.
