Calling all young astronauts! Check out this space-tastic new show from National Geographic

It’s 1950s U.S.A. and the race is on to send the first astronauts into space! Newly-formed NASA is put to the task, and the nation’s best engineers estimate they’ll need decades… But they only have two years!

Under mounting pressure from the government, NASA engineers work against the clock. Meanwhile, seven military pilots, Scott Carpenter, Gordon Cooper, John Glenn, Gus Grissom, Wally Schirra, Alan Shepard, and Deke Slayton, are selected to become the Mercury 7 – America’s first astronauts!

Will the engineers and astronauts be able to achieve the seemingly impossible task in time to meet the deadline? You’ll have to watch The Right Stuff to find out what happened next…!

Learn how to make super space crafts with the National Space Centre!
