Celebrate the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle by baking and decorating royal cupcakes. Perfect for a class celebration or street party.

Pupils will be challenged to follow instructions to bake cupcakes in our National Geographic Kids’ Royal cupcakes primary resource sheet. A great resource for practising measuring out ingredients, handling different quantities and monitoring time.

The teaching resource, which also includes suggestions for holding a royal wedding party or celebration can be used as a printed handout for instruction in class time, for display on the interactive whiteboard, or printed for pupils to take home for the wedding.

Activity: Ask children to complete the task on the page or and adapt the instructions for their own creativity (i.e. different icing designs on the cakes, creativity in flag and bunting designs, etc.).

N.B. The following information for mapping the resource documents to the school curriculum is specifically tailored to the English National Curriculum and Scottish Curriculum for Excellence. We are currently working to bring specifically tailored curriculum resource links for our other territories; including South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
