Amber, 7: Why is your character called ‘Mr Dog’?
Ben: I once met a street dog in India that the locals called Mr Dog. He was a scraggy mutt but I loved the fact the locals called him Mr!

Igor, 9, and Max, 6: Who was the first person to read Mr Dog and the Rabbit Habit?
Ben: My son Ludo and my daughter Iona. They read it at the same time. I was more nervous about them reading the book than anyone else!

Sophia, 5: Which big animal do you think would be the cutest if it was the same size as a mouse?
Ben: I LOVE this question! I think a miniature elephant would be amazing. Imagine a tiny little elephant with its trunk and tusks!

George, 8: If you could be any animal, what would you be?
Ben: I’d be a whale! Imagine having the ocean as your home and being able to travel thousands of miles in any direction!

Joshua, 8: If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be?
Ben: I’d quite like to leave the world! Space exploration is the next frontier (along with deep sea exploration). I hope I get to travel into space one day!

Max, 5: What’s the funniest animal you’ve ever seen?
Ben: I think the naked mole rat is pretty weird. They are what I would describe as beautifully ugly!

Finn, 9: How have your travel adventures influenced your books?
Ben: Throughout my adventures I’ve collected so many amazing tales about animals. I’ve tried to bring them to life in the Mr Dog adventures!
