The primary resources available to download here have been supplied by The Big Bang UK Young Scientists & Engineers Fair; the largest celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) for young people in the UK.

Learn how to grow your own crown jewels in this exciting lab experiment.

Activity: Demonstrate the experiment to the children at a safe distance. If you are working with Key Stage 3 pupils, ask them to carry out the experiment themselves in small groups, following the instructions.

The Big Bang Fair is an award-winning combination of exciting theatre shows, interactive workshops and exhibits and careers information from STEM professionals.
